Katharine Wistar Elkinton letter to Hannah B. Evans
Description
Written to her aunt while Elkinton was in France as a relief worker. Describes an attempted air raid over Chalons, the hospital ward where she works, and her efforts to learn French. "I suppose I am an unnatural person, but honestly, I am that sick and tired of baby smells and baby yells that I think I will skip, I would, if my resolve didn't hold me to the job." Mentions her cousin Francis Goodhue.
