About the Digital Collections
The TriCollege Libraries Digital Collections include unique and rare archival collections, manuscripts, publications, ephemera, maps, photographs, and audiovisual content, including oral histories, from Bryn Mawr, Haverford, and Swarthmore Colleges. The TriCollege Libraries Digital Collections provides an access point for searching the digitized and born-digital collections of three colleges founded on the Quaker traditions of social conscience and thoughtful citizenship.
The collections continue to grow, with new items added on a regular basis. Collections are drawn from six repositories:
- Bryn Mawr College Special Collections
- Haverford College Quaker & Special Collections
- Swarthmore College Archives
- Swarthmore College Rare Book Room
- Swarthmore College Peace Collection
- Friends Historical Library of Swarthmore College

About the Technology
The TriCollege Libraries Digital Collections were formerly known as Triptych and based on the CONTENTdm platform. Triptych was launched with a generous grant from the SNAVE Foundation. In 2019, the TriCollege Libraries began a project to migrate the collections from CONTENTdm to the Islandora open-source digital repository system based on Fedora, Drupal, and Solr. In the near future, digital collections from the TriCollege Institutional Scholarship repository (DSpace) and the TriArte Art and Artifacts repository (EmbARK) will also be migrated to the TriCollege Libraries Digital Collections.
