The annual meeting he1d at the
Woman's Club of Swarthmore on Tuesday, }.lay 4, presented a survey of the
year's work through the eyes of the var• 00$ chairmen. With the president, Mrs.
Roland G. E. Ullman in the chair,
twenty-four reports were given with dispatch and enthusiasm.
Probably the outstanding report of the
day was that of the Juniors who annually
amaze and astound their seniors in the
scope, energy, and remunerativeness of
their endeavors. Pn:sentoo by the Senior
Advisor, Mrs. Clifford Banta, the Junior
President, Mrs. James Bogardus, gave
a graphic and all-.inc1usive review of the
numerous projects of the Junior Club
ranging from an exhaustive study of the
history of furniture to the monthly philanthropic bridge parties which have made
possible the generous contributions to
welfare organizations as well as ~he individual cases giving the personal touch.
Reports of the following officers and

Best Wishes For Succe88 '
ANNOUNCEMENT
Due to the rapid expansion of
the real estate and insurance business I have found it to my advantage to !:ell The Swart/unorea,;: The
new owners are capable members of
the community who, I know, will
succeed in carrying on the high
standards set by the former owners.
I urge the advertisers and subscribers to support The Swart/illlorean
as well in the future as formerly.
I give my best wishes for 'continued success to the new owners
and Miss Rosalie Dryden.
On Saturday morning, May the eighth, The Swarthmorean was
returned to its former office at 417 Dartmouth Avenue. Its business
will be conducted from there by its new owners, citizens of this
commu.nity, who value the heritage of its past and have faith in its
future. They believe that a local newspaper is not only a sound
business investment, but a normal clearing house for the diversified activities of Swarthmore, which cherishes the village attribute
of .nejghborliness even as it grows into a suburban town.
