Addressed to "Hannah" and likely to Graceanna Lewis' friend and fellow Quaker Hannah Wright Mifflin. Lewis apologizes for not replying to Hannah sooner. She describes going through her letters and burning many of them. She discusses the plants and trees she encountered at the Minshall-Painter Arboretum (now the Tyler Arboretum) and the different plants she is growing at home and hopes to grow. She also talks about some social events she recently attended, including the Friends First Day School and a woman's club reception.
