Mary Jenkins was Martha Schofield's niece. Schofield writes about how the Spanish American War has impacted her school, particularly by causing an uptick of fights among her students. She mentions that she is working on responding to her fan letters which are "piling up." She adds that she is very thankful for all of her friends and discusses some of her recent activities.
