Aaron M. Powell was a Quaker social reformer. He asks Mariana Wright Chapman to speak on the subject of "The New Militarism and Purity" at the annual meeting of the American Purity Alliance. He specifically asks that she talk about "the women of the native race" and "equality of rights for women in general." He adds that if she is unavailable on the day he listed for the meeting, then they may be able to reschedule to accommodate her.
