Lucretia Mott letter to Martha Coffin Wright; D. C. Pickering letter to Lucretia Mott
Description
Written from Roadside. Lucretia Mott suspects Martha Wright is in Rochester following the trial of Susan B. Anthony (who has been arrested for voting). Lucretia briefly discusses Yearly Meeting. She talks about attending a dinner party where Elizabeth Cady Stanton argued with Miller McKim and noted that McKim's wife sided with Stanton rather than her husband. She also discusses several family members who are travelling in Europe and Charles Cavender who has recently moved to Colorado. Partially written over a letter from D. C. Pickering dated May 15, 1873, requesting Lucretia Mott's autograph.
