Fragment. Likely written to Martha Mott Lord. Lucretia Mott writes that she and her daughter Maria Davis have arrived at the home of her nephew George Brown. The baby of George and Mary Brown's son Ellis Brown had died shortly after being born. Partially written over a letter from Mary Yarnall Brown to Lucretia stating that her grandchild had been born and had passed away from a sudden illness.
