Written over a short letter dated May 5 1864 from Susan B. Anthony to George Lord, who asks him to tell Lucretia Mott that she is at Elizabeth Cady Stanton's. Mott's letter may be a fragment. Lucretia Mott discusses the work being done on the new house of Martha "Pattie" Lord and George Lord (her daughter and son-in-law), which they recently moved into. She also explains that she is too busy to go to Meeting and talks about hiring some "Catholic girls" to help lay carpets.
