Written on "Belva A. Lockwood, LL. D. Attorney and Solicitor" stationery. Lella Crum Gardner (1873-1956) was the wife of Belva Lockwood's nephew Frank Gardner. Briefly discusses the biography Gardner is writing about her and the upcoming Woman's Pageant organized by the National Woman Suffrage Committee. Discusses the portrait of herself and its upcoming unveiling ceremony; the unveiling might take place at Daughters of the American Revolution Hall (she has become a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution), and she is trying to secure President William Howard Taft for a speech. Lockwood is possibly referring to the oil painting by Nellie Mathes Horne (1870-1950) that is currently on display in the National Portrait Gallery.
