Most likely written to Mary Kite's great-niece Edith Sharpless (1836-1932). Written while minister Mary Kite was visiting Quaker meetings in the Southern states. Describes her journey to and attendance at meetings in Virginia and North Carolina. Briefly discusses staying overnight with a slaveholder.
