Urges release of Friends held without trial under charge of a "disposition inimical to the cause of America." In 1777, several prominent Philadelphia men were banished to Virginia by the Continental Congress under suspicion of "aiding and abetting the cause of the enemy." Thse "Virginia Exiles" included 18 Quakers. At end of text: Signed by order and on behalf of the Yearly-Meeting, by Isaac Jackson, Clerk.
