Beulah Hurley Waring letter to Achsah L. Hurley and William W. Hurley
Written to Waring's parents while Waring was in Russia as a relief worker. Describes her leisure time in Moscow during May Day festivities. Recounts army reviews in the Red Square, where Trotsky commended their efforts and successes, followed by groups of factory workers, clubs, Cossacks, Anarchists, and Communists. Reassures her parents about disease and details her recovery from typhus. Discusses the Bolshevik government in a positive tone, international politics, and false western media coverage of events in Russia. Discusses attending an Orthodox church service, visiting art galleries, the Berlin-Moscow aero service, Russian horses and horse harnesses, and her belief in telepathy. See mc1225_02_01_34 for a condensed typed version.
