Land grant from Thomas Penson. Gothic bastard hand. Brown ink. Recto begins with a bold 2-line capital, the decoration of which extends above the first line of text and down to the 8th line of the text (in the left margin). The capital is followed by "nant" in bold letters that are 1.5-lines long. Bottom of the document is folded up and contains pendental parchment. The verso contains some writing: "De ... in Oberton/22.E.4/Charta Thomas Penson...xre (Christ)" and "222." Two square shaped holes appear in the top left corner of the recto.
