Dearest Minnie, I had only the faintest kind of a hope that I might be able to stop for a few moments this morning to see how you were and say goodbye, but as usual there was a great deal to do. I do hope you are better today, and that after the letters are dispatched to their arms, Miss Locke and Christine, there will be a little lull in school matters, so that you may have a little chance to rest. WonGt you send me a line when you can to say how you are. It is too bad that all of our talks have had to be on School lately. As you probably saw too, I have been feeling excessively tired, but I hope to get rested here. Hoping very soon to get good news of you. Very lovingly yours, M.E. Garrett
Letter from Mary Elizabeth Garrett to M. Carey Thomas, April 09, 1885
Mary Garrett writes to M. Carey Thomas to express her regret that she did not have the time to see her and say goodbye before Thomas had to leave.
