Dearest Minnie, I am so sorry for your headache and backache. Do - do be careful. My courage did fail about Bessie for several reasons. The one I gave - the lateness, for I got your telegram only about noon today, and the fact that no one had seen the paper. Note the letter from Balti. In this weekG��s GǣNationGǥ. It looks as if the campaign had been regularly opened! DonG��t you feel inclined to take up the cudgels yourself, or to get someone to do so? Please thank Mamie for the postal about the editions of Homer and tell her I have at least found my own old copy and my [illegible] dictionary if I have done nothing more. Yours, Mary E.G.
