Liturgical calendar with the names of local saints (July 4-Odolric, July 7-Willibrord, July 8-Kilian, July 12-Ermagoras, July 18-Arnulph, July 31-Germanus). Gothic hand. Recto contains a calendar of July. Two large letters in blue ink begin the page which contains 4 columns. First column (moving from left to right) contains numerals indicating the days of the week in black ink. Second column contains the letters "A-G" repeating with "A" written in alternating red and blue ink. Third column contains descending numerals in red ink. The fourth column contains a list of the holidays and saint days written in black or red ink. The first letters of those days written in black ink are highlighted with red ink. The verso is a calendar for August and has two large letters in blue ink. The first column containing numerals for the days of the week are not visible on the verso. Brown ink ruling.

Civil Law. Digestum Vetus (the first volume of the medieval corpus of Civil Law) with commentary and glosses. Gothic hand. Black ink. Two lines of principal text appear in red ink at the end of the first column. 2-line blue initials appear in the margin of the principal text, and 1-line red initials appear in the middle of the principal text. Alternating red and blue paragraph markers. A large, decorative chapter heading contains the letters "LPIANUS" (Ulpianus?) in alternating red and blueink. 2 columns. Writing on both sides. Blinding ruling. Knife prickings visible. Additional note included with document: This manuscript "seems to have been written by professional scribes in a stationer's atelier under a license from the university. The product of an accomplished workshop."

Legal document. Property indenture between Thomas Seamor of Gosport and Evan Evans of Loudon. Cursive. Dark brown ink. On the recto, a 19-line long cadel capital "T" begins the document. Remainder of "This Indenture" is written in 2-line long bold letters. Throughout the document, words such as "under, to have, by which, and whereas" appear in bold. Wide left margin. Bottom of the document is folded up and sealed with a red wax pendent seal. The folded up portion contains the signature of Thomas Seamor. Verso of the document says, Sealed and delivered in the presence of and contains the signatures of John Young, Jonathon Welch, and Jesem(?) Gotmor(?). Verso also contains some modern writing. Metal point ruling. Prickings on left and right edges. Top edge of the parchment is wavy.

Legal document. Indenture among John Pricktor, Henry Livett, and John Matthews Beane for the conveyance of four houses in Princes Street. On the recto, This Indenture, printed in large black ink letters, begins the document. Within the capital "T" is a seal in black ink which is topped by a crown and contains the words "Honi soit qui mal y pense." Also in the hook of the "T" is printed "22 Cross Street Bermondsey, and below the T" is printed "Warrington, sc. 27 Strand." Manuscript components in cursive in dark brown or black ink. Phrases such as "To hold" and "All those" appear in bold. Text of the document is bounded by sets of single or double red lines. The left margin of the document contains tax stamps: one for 2 pounds and another for 1 pound and 15 shillings. Below the tax stamps is a small circular stamp in black ink that reads "Bristol/ 6-2-47." The bottom of the document is folded up and sealed with three red wax seals on top of three pieces of green ribbon. The signatures of John Pricktor, John Matthews Beane, and Henry Livett appear near the seals. The red wax seal on the left may contain a cursive "L." Verso contains the signatures of witnesses to the document and a summary of the document. Metal point ruling. Top edge is wavy.

Homily. Death of St. Stephen(pope and martyr). Early Gothic minuscule. Black ink. Paragraphs begin with 2-line capitals in red ink. Numerals in red ink. 2 columns. Writing on both sides. Metal point ruling.

Bible. 1 Sam. 22:13. Early Gothic hand. Black ink. Palimpsest--four mirror image lines in early Gothic in light brown ink. Ruling in light brown ink. Writing on both sides.

Bible. Acts, including a mention of Paul. Early Gothic minuscule. Dark brown/black ink. 2 fragmentary columns. Trimmed on all four sides. Writing on both sides. Metal point ruling. Evidence of stitching a tear.

Land grant. Gothic bastard hand. Brown ink. Text on the recto begins with a 2-line capital. Bottom of the document is folded up, and "Salop" is written in modern hand on the folded portion. A black wax pendent seal with a central image surrounded by text is attached. Reverse of the seal is globular with a circle impressed in the center. The verso contains writing: "235", 1330 (crossed out) 1329, and some undecipherable writing summarizing the grant.

Legal document. Property indenture among Thomas Whitmore, Esquire, of Apley Park in the County of Salop, Sir Thomas John Tyrwhitt Jones of Stanley, and Onesiphorus Tyndall...of Middlesex County. On the recto, This Indenture, printed in large black ink letters, begins the document. Within the capital "T" is a seal in black ink which is topped by a crown and contains a coat of arms that is surrounded by the words "Honi soit qui mal y pense." At the bottom of the "T" in small printed letters are the words "Silvester, Engraver to His Majesty, 27, Strand, London." Manuscript in brown ink. The document is bounded on all sides by double or triple red lines. In the left margin is a blue tax stamp with a tin tab for one pound and six shillings. Below the stamp is a map of the land, to which the document pertains, in turquoise ink. Names of the parties involved are written neatly around the map. A compass stands to the left of the map. Bottom of the document is folded up, and has green ribbon topped with red wax in three places. Left and right edges of the fold are sealed by thin strands of parchment. Verso contains a summary of the document and a white square stamp (the obverse part of the tax stamp) with a crown, 22,, 1, "G, and R." Also on the verso is a witness statement noting that the money mentioned in the document was paid; it is signed "Witness." Metal point ruling. Prickings on the left and right edges. Indenture is accompanied by a 2 page paper manuscript from January 19, 1826, written by M. Mickers (or Mickeus?) and addressed to Sir Thomas John Tyrwhitt Jones Bart of Stanley Hall regarding an estimate of the land.

Sermon (?). Cursive. Brown ink. Writing on both sides of each page. 2 columns are on the first page. The second page is fragmentary. Space and dividing lines mark sections. Lines slant downward to the right.
