Written by abolitionist and reformer Sallie Holley. Asks Howland's opinion of an enclosed "Letter from a Boston Lady" about John Mosby published in the 1867-07-06 issue of the National Anti-Slavery Standard. Asks Howland to write a promotional letter to the Standard because Holley was too busy lecturing to do so herself. There are short draft sentences or quotations written on the envelope.
