Describes Holley's work as an agent for the National Anti-Slavery Standard. Details her travels around New York State as she gave lectures and signed up subscribers for the Standard. Discusses public opinion of current events in the towns where she stopped. Also discusses Holley's interactions with a number of abolitionists, including Gerrit Smith, Ann Carroll Fitzhugh, Elizabeth Potts Fitzhugh Birney, Elizabeth Smith Miller, Emily Howland, and Slocum Howland.
