Entries run from 1902-06-11 through 1903-06-10 and chronicle Howland's daily activities. Recurring themes include meetings of local clubs and reform societies, as well as the health of Howland's friend Mary Reed. Records Howland's time at the National American Woman Suffrage Association's 1903 convention in New Orleans and her subsequent visit to the Tuskegee Institute with Susan B. Anthony. Also records Howland's visits to several other African American schools in the South, including the Kowaliga School and the Schofield School in Aiken, as well as her attendance of several education conferences in April 1903.
