Lewis admits she wrote the article on Abby Kimber and the Kimberton Boarding School that was recently published in the Friends Intelligencer because she felt that it ought to be done and it was important to leave a record of the kind of instruction Kimber gave. She also discusses some plants she received from her cousin Ada Fussell and says she wishes she had time to draw them, as well as attend and give lectures. She gives a brief explanation of oak leaves.
