Rebecca Lewis Fussell was Graceanna Lewis' sister. Lewis discusses her relationship with her coworkers at the Foster School for Girls, tells of adventures with a well-known botanist, and a Miss Port who is spending time at the sanitarium. She describes being one of the oldest teachers there and how she feels that the younger teachers and students alike look up to her as a maternal figure. She also discusses the letters and news she has received from various family members.
