Benson J. Lossing letter to Thomas Mott; Lucretia Mott letter to Benson J. Lossing
Description
Benson John Lossing was a prominent historian. Lossing has written a letter to Thomas Mott on the first page and has copied a letter from Lucretia Mott to Lossing (dated February 22, 1879) on the second and third pages. Lossing's letter discusses the possibility of including a sketch of Lucretia Mott in the next edition of his work on "distinguished Americans." Lucretia Mott's letter discusses multiple individuals in the context of the early 1800s, including Deborah (Rodger) Willets, Enoch Dorland [sp], Peter Lossing, and Elias Hicks.
