Henry Fowler was a Presbyterian minister. Fowler sends his condolences to Lucretia and her family over the death of Lucretia's husband, James Mott. The last page contains a fragment of a letter written by Lucretia to Martha Mott Lord on June 2, 1868, and she suggests that Aunt Martha (Martha Coffin Wright) may like to read Fowler's letter.
