Lucretia Mott expresses objections to her sister Martha's habit of self-depreciation and notes her own appreciation of Martha's comments on Lucy Stone's "attempt to ignore our pioneers - Stanton and Anthony." Lucretia also discusses recent activities of several family members and mentions that she is considering selling Roadside and moving into a smaller home. Partly written over a letter from Rebecca Bunker Neall to "Cousin Edward," in which she discusses visiting Roadside with her friend Abigail Woolman.
