James Shrigley was a Universalist minister and a librarian with the Pennsylvania Historical Society. It is a form letter thanking Lucretia Mott for her donation of 18 books, 105 pamphlets, and 10 broadsides to the Historical Society of Pennsylvania. A note on the back indicates that the donations were about antislavery.
