William Lloyd Garrison expresses his awe of and appreciation for Lucretia Mott, and discusses Quaker antislavery writings, Southern views on slavery, and Mott's upcoming trip to England. Garrison also says that he is forced to rank the Society of Friends "among the corrupt sects of the age" due to their timidity in opposing slavery.
