Date inferred from contents; Mott seems to have misdated several letters in spring 1867. Lucretia Mott writes about news of family and friends. She discusses the tensions between Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Wendell Phillips, and other abolitionists based on whether to advocate for women's suffrage alongside African American suffrage; Mott mentions Susan B. Anthony, Aaron M. Powell, Stephen Foster, and Anna E. Dickinson. She also briefly speaks about collecting clothing for charity, mentioning that some might go to Harriet Tubman, and the failing health of her brother-in-law Benjamin Yarnall. Includes a recipe for making "red oil" to help heal "cuts and hurts."
