STAFFORD A Tribute to Mrs. Belva Ann Lockwood A few months ago a general commtttee was organized in Washington, D. C, for the purpose of providing a suitable testimonial to be tendered to Mrs. Belva Ann Lockwood in recognition of her work for the advancement of women; for International Peace, and for the betterment of conditions in the factories and workshops of our land. Her admission to the Supreme Court of the United States gained an inestimable privilege for women. Indeed, her influence affects all branches of our social life. Mrs. Nellie Mathes Home, of Boston, is already engaged upon a life-size portrait of Mrs. Lockwood, which is to be admirably mounted, and placed in some appropriate public building. The completion and mounting requires additional funds. This affords an opportunity for those who have not already done so to join in thus honoring this noble woman.
