Joshua Sharpless letters to Isaac Sharpless

Description

Collection of letters written from Joshua Sharpless to his brother Isaac Sharpless. Most of the letters discuss his farm, world politics, books, his travels, and their family and friends. Several letters from 1802 describe a disease spreading around Philadelphia, presumably yellow fever. The letters are not in chronological order and many are in poor condition.
