Katharine Wistar Elkinton letter fragment to her aunt
Description
Written while Elkinton was in France as a relief worker. In this undated fragment, Elkinton discusses in detail the various workers who are part of her equipe, including one named Birrell who she calls "a most conceited dirty young ass." Says she has heard from one of them, Morris Hutchinson, that her husband Howard has been forced to turn out the lights in his caravan during two air raids. Says she misses Howard very much and looks forward to spending more than a weekend with him.
