Letter from Mary Elizabeth Garrett to M. Carey Thomas, January 06, 1892

Mary Garrett writes to M. Carey Thomas, expressing her shock and sympathy upon hearing about the death of Bessie's father. She writes that she asked who had been elected to fill the vacancies now open on the Johns Hopkins Board of Trustees. She writes of how important the matter of who is on the board will be for their efforts. She also discusses a draft that she received from Thomas, seemingly regarding the Johns Hopkins Medical School, and says that she will have to think on it for a little while before giving her thoughts.
