She expresses her disappointment at not being able to go to the theatre with Mamie Gwinn to see Coquelin, due to being laid up by a headache. She asks Thomas if she has seen Dr. Cushier, and whether there has been a decision about whether she will have to have "it" removed, referencing a mass in Thomas's abdomen. She also tells Thomas that she is glad that the College has been successful, and that attendance is full.

She then asks Thomas about chairs that need to be ordered, although it is unclear whether they are for Thomas or for the School. No envelope.
