kind letter from Dr Cary -
I mailed a Report last evening -
Dr Cary is a rare woman of remarkable
executive ability, cheerful
hopeful nature, and for the

no better could be found in
man or woman.

went to the funeral of E Robinson
returning same evening - seemed
refreshed by having been dutiful
[? ?] agitates the Journalist
who must be glad in
this season of famine for
the sensation [?] to him
Wilson & Sam came to see us
last evening - as far as aunt Rachel
she revels in Kate Barrow - who
is staying with her - all well

& send neither letters or messages -
she probably forgets there
is a world outside 58th st
