DEDICATION

To Miss Marion Edwards Park, who has been the
creative impulse behind the concrete and spiritual
growth of Bryn Mawr College during the past two
decades. Her imagination has helped to realize the
visions of a larger and more fully equipped campus.
As a gracious hostess she has enriched our four years
of college life, throughout which she has been for us
the embodiment of intellectual integrity. Not only has
she encouraged our individual development through
her emphasis on independent thought, but she has
also shown us how to live as members of an ordered
community. Through her inspiration Bryn Mawr has

become a living example of democracy.
