Dearest Mary Mr. King had misunderstood the whole matter from Bessies [sic] letter which alas he had read to Judge Dobbin and Frank White. They thought by accepting our gift they would be promising to open next year. I explained but on this understanding they had [illegible] the whole thing - so foolish to ask them and now this has got to be undone somehow. I am to see him again this evening when he has studied our circular. I think we had better not meet tomorrow but Mamie thinks a Committee meeting over Ms. ColvinGÇÖs rep. - Could you and Julia come by to her house at 10 -+ for one hour only then if things go well we can meet at med. School Tuesday early if you can arrange it. In great haste yours C Frank King wishes to look over the circular and to see Judge Dobbin and Frank White about it.
